I'm spent~
Fortune is blind, but not invisible.
Friends are like fiddle strings, they must not be screwed too tight.
Friends are lost by calling often and calling seldom.
Friendship is a furrow in the sand.
Got the following in an email from Nadia... enjoy! :D

After running all over the place since Friday morning… it is finally time for me to take a break and stay at home today.
Some rest this is~
-rolls eyes-
I din mention what I did on Friday did I?
Hrmm… I don think I did… so here goes:
Me and Yilinn headed down to Waterways Watch Society in the early afternoon to help out during Hearn Yuit’s lecture with the students from Nurul’s primary school.
Rushed home after the class, chowed down on dinner and then zoomed off to work.
Now, Sunday was a different ball game
Morning get up, walk out and wait for the church bus.
I was very close to falling asleep on my feet while I was waiting. -.-lll
Service was good.
Stayed back for second service to help Nadia with her lesson and almost got pulled into the hair-brain game which Jake came up with. If I had been in the game, I would have walked away with so much flour on my face that I would not be able to breathe for a while. :P
Had lunch with Kimiaki, Jamie and Jeff, after which I put on my running shoes and made for Plaza Singapura to meet Hui Min, Swee Shoon and Yilinn.
On the way to the ‘contact point’, I saw quite a few people on the train, obviously making their way to Toa Payoh for their colour belt gradings. How did I know? Look at the pants they were wearing lor... it’s a dead give away~ :)
The volunteers were slightly late to the meeting point and so was I, but we managed to get everything rolling before 3pm… the sales was ok I guess, I could have been better if not for the NKF scandal and the other students who were on the streets raising funds just like us.
My poor volunteers got scolding from the public during their fund raising!
-screams at the indignity of it all-
I hope this coming Sunday will yield better results.
Further more, I am going to be manning the booth alone, so I need all the help I can get~
Once we said our goodbyes and went out own ways, I went to buy Eileen’s birthday present.
By the time I got home… it was damn late, and I was very maxed out in the energy section. I think I was walking more like an old woman. Haha…
The cool thing of the day was that I ran into Adeline!
It has been such a long time since I last saw her~
Went for the bicycle patrol with Waterways Watch Society on Monday. So fun! So tired after the cycling, coz I haven cycled in a long time, but still – FUN!
I was so whacked out by the cycling that I went up the wrong bus. Resultantly, I had to bus hop all the way home. One thing is for certain, it is not possible to get lost in Singapore.
Good thing I did not go for training on Monday, if not I would not be able to meet Ivan for dinner. Had I gone for training, I would have been able to train with the Freshies and guide them in their kicking and what not, but I am happy that Desmond got to have that honor and experience instead. He now knows what gives me that certain ‘kick’ when I go for training. :D
I managed to get Ying and Joyce’s presents and other stuff which are on my ‘important’ list.
I am now broken but satisfied.
Tuesday morning had to get up early to go get my hair cut then walked around Tampines before coming home and go out again for cell group.
Yesterday was great!
Morning I went to SRJC to meet Ms Wee and get the remaining forms from her. I felt like a student again, walking through those gates, but without my uniform I felt so old. O.olll
Could only stay for a while before I had to rush down to Waterways Watch Society to help with the Nayang Girls High School session.
Finished with that, I came home, tried to sleep and then went to S.I.M. for the training session.
It was not bad, although Jill and I had to do the basic kicks with the Freshies instead of out usual ‘higher order’ kicks. Our Freshies are enthusiastic about the sport and I foresee them going very far. :)
Second training at PLKCC was good. I miss hanging out with my society members. I didn’t get to attend the training on Sunday and the next few Sundays because of my street selling… so I treasure the time I have with my ‘people’. Heehee~
I even managed to sell some of the bookmarks.
-pumps fists into the air-
Yeah! You rock people!
Today is supposed to be a ‘rest day’ of sorts but I still have a presentation to prepare for my class which I am teaching this Sunday, call up volunteers and the AWWA personnel, prepare for the weekend ahead and handle the minutes for my club.
-faints-
As I said earlier: some break this is~
Well, at least I can eat my Ben & Jerry’s ice cream…
-hysterical laughter-
Joshy kor: ‘dun worry ahhh i am sure u will be fine Sharon remember the water of life’
Yes kor~
That’s partly why I joined Waterways Water Society.
Heh~
Fallenskies: ‘hello there. seems you blog a lot, ne? hope you get better soon. ‘
Thanks dude! My flu and cough are gone liao :) but the sad thing is that I am now officially burnt out… again… haha… when are your classes? Let me know what you think of your lecturers ya? We shall have a good laugh with that. :D
Sheena,
What time is your POA lecture on Tuesday? We might be in the same lecture group for that subject, who knows? :)

-migumi laughter-
To all:
The booth, aka the point of deployment, for this coming Sunday’s street selling will be at Centrepoint, in front of Cold Storage.
Do come down and lend your support!
It would be nice to see familiar faces there :D
The book marks which we’re selling are going for $2 each.
12 designs to choose from.
See you guys there!
My ‘rest’ day continues… so many things to do yet so little time… the joy of the Lord is my strength!
The headless chicken marathon continues tomorrow…
I need my sleep ah~
July is coming to a close and August is hot in its heels…
Ganbatte!
